Parent Loss Grief Group:

A Virtual Space for Adult Children Navigating Life After Losing a Parent

WithoutThem is a virtual grief group for adults navigating life after the loss of a parent. Together, we’ll explore the many layers of grief — identity, memory, longing, and love — in a supportive, therapist-led space. Through reflection, mindfulness, and shared conversation, we’ll learn how to carry what remains with gentleness and care.

Losing a parent — at any age — changes you. It can reshape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. This grief group offers connection, understanding, and practical tools for navigating the ongoing process of parent loss. Whether your grief feels fresh or has been with you for years, you’ll find a space that honors where you are — tenderly and without judgment.

What to Expect Each Week

We begin with a grounding practice to help you settle in and arrive fully in the moment. From there, we move into sharing, reflection, and gentle processing — sometimes through guided writing, sometimes through conversation.

There’s no “right” way to show up here. This is a small, intimate grief support group, capped at five participants, allowing you to connect deeply with others who truly understand what it means to live with the loss of a parent.

I weave together what’s been most supportive in my own work with grief and healing — drawing from mindfulness, somatic therapy, IFS (parts work), and DBT skills. Together, we’ll explore ways to make sense of what you’re carrying, reconnect with yourself, and find moments of calm and clarity along the way.

What Makes This Grief Group Different

Many grief support spaces focus on “moving on” or coping quickly. This group is different.

WithoutThem is about learning how to live with your grief — to integrate it, tend to it, and understand how it continues to shape your life story.

As both a therapist and someone who lost my parents at an early age, I know that grief doesn’t simply end with time. It shifts and changes form. It becomes part of how we love, remember, and grow. That personal experience informs everything about how I hold this space.

Here, you’re not expected to be “over it.” You’re invited to bring your whole self — the parts that miss them, the parts that are angry or confused, and the parts still learning how to move forward. This group blends clinical grounding with lived experience — combining research-based grief practices with the kind of understanding that comes only from walking this path.
