WithoutHer
A Virtual Grief Group for Women
A therapist-led online support group for women navigating grief,
healing, and identity after the loss of their mother.
WithoutHer is a virtual grief group for women navigating life after the loss of their mother. Together, we’ll explore the many layers of grief — identity, memory, longing, and love — in a supportive, therapist-led space. Through reflection, mindfulness, and shared conversation, we’ll learn how to carry what remains with gentleness and care.
Losing your mother — at any age — changes you. It can reshape how you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. This group offers connection, understanding, and tools for navigating the ongoing process of mother loss. Whether your grief feels fresh or has been with you for years, you’ll find a space that honors where you are — tenderly and without judgment.
Each week, we begin with a grounding practice to help you arrive and settle in. From there, we move into time for sharing, reflection, and gentle processing — sometimes through guided writing, sometimes through conversation. There’s no right way to show up here. This is an intimate group, capped at 5 participants, so you will have the opportunity to get to know each other well.
I weave together what’s been most supportive in my own work with grief and healing — drawing from mindfulness, somatic therapy, IFS parts work, and DBT skills. Together, we’ll explore ways to make sense of what you’re carrying, reconnect with yourself, and find moments of calm and clarity along the way.
What Makes This Group Different
Many grief groups focus on coping or “moving on.” WithoutHer is different.
This group is about learning to live with your grief — to integrate it, tend to it, and understand how it continues to shape you.
As both a therapist and someone who lost my parents at an early age, I know that grief doesn’t simply end with time. It changes form. It becomes part of how we love, remember, and grow. That personal experience shapes everything about how I lead this group.
Here, you’re not expected to be “over it.” You’re invited to bring your whole self — the parts that miss her, the parts that are angry or confused, and the parts still learning how to move forward.
This group blends clinical grounding with lived experience — combining research-based grief practices with the understanding that comes only from having walked this path myself.
This Group Might Be Right for You If…
You’ve lost your mother and want a space to process that loss in a way that feels meaningful, steady, and supported — not rushed or minimized.
You find yourself feeling disconnected, numb, or unsure how to relate to your grief — like it’s always there, but hard to name or express.
Certain moments — birthdays, holidays, milestones, or quiet everyday routines — bring up your loss in unexpected ways.
You’ve stepped into new roles (parent, partner, caregiver) and feel the ache of wanting your mother there for guidance or comfort.
You’re someone who holds space for others but often finds it hard to make room for your own emotions.
You’re craving connection with others who get it — who understand the unique and complex bond between a mother and daughter.
You want to explore not just the pain of grief, but also the love, resilience, and transformation that can come through it.
